Mission
It is imperative that at Deira Private School we provide a multicultural environment that is conducive to the development of each student’s full potential and equip them to become responsible, socially well-adjusted, future citizens, who are capable of making balanced, informed decisions.
Vision
It is our vision to be an outstanding international school committed to the culture of excellence, imparting the tenets of the British National Curriculum to our Primary School students to prepare them for life. It is our vision to develop each child’s intelligence quotient and emotional quotient, take care of their moral values and their physical development, and create a social and environmental awareness so that they become positive, contributing members of society and the new world order, and will be able to meet with confidence the challenges they will face.
Founder’s Message
It is the human interaction and relationship that matters most, more than the glossy presentation of websites or prospectuses. I hope that you will get a flavour of what life is like at DePS from what follows and as you do, you will feel the need to visit us to welcome a change. We believe education means the intellectual, emotional, cultural and social development of a person. If you think education is just learning mathematics or science, then you can grow up to be the Einstein of tomorrow. But if you believe that education is the development of personality, then you will become a blessing on the society, not a straggler in the race of life waiting for someone to help you.
No one can deny the fact that degrees and certificates are essential for successes in a career. We care about results, but not exclusively, as 85%of time people succeed in life because of their attitude and only 15% of time because of their academic acumen or how many facts and figures they know. At DePS we teach our students to know how to create the balance between the academic excellence and personality development. We teach them the difference between the two, which one is the need of the hour and what needs to be done to achieve it.
It is the first year of our operation, and we have worked very hard to create an environment where students can thrive in academics and make the most of their inherent abilities. We want to encourage students to develop their talents, discover new interests, and prepare for the world beyond school life.
Hence our motto is “Preparing for Life”
That is what we aspire to and I am confident DePS will deliver.

Principal’s Message
Welcome
On behalf of all primary and foundation management, teachers and support staff I would like to welcome you to Deira Private School. At Deira Private School or DePS, as it has been affectionately dubbed by the start-up team, our aim is to prepare students for the challenges and choices of life, hence our motto, “ad vitam paramus”. In order to inspire a love of learning, DePS provides a creative learning environment which encourages students to enquire, investigate, experiment, research, use their imagination and ultimately to reflect. The school has well-resourced specialist facilities, our goal being to build the school library and ICT laboratory into a fully fledged media centre and the hub of all learning experiences.Parents need to feel confident that their children are in a caring and stimulating environment, where they are respected and valued as individuals. Therefore we encourage, involvement of students and families in the development of the school.
The motivated and experienced academic staff at DePS use a variety of teaching methodologies to facilitate students’ learning styles. Programmes are provided to cater for the whole child. A students’ progress is monitored throughout the year. Teachers use a variety of assessment tools which include class work, homework and project work, formal tests and self evaluation exercises. Parents are welcome to meet with teachers frequently to follow the progress of their children, as well as on formal open days.
Please feel free to visit the school and see for yourself what we have to offer for your child

The three stars in the crest stand for the three core values the school is aiming at instilling in the children who study here: HONESTY, RESPECT and TOLERANCE. The two swooshes on either sides of the crest stand for the school’s attempt to develop the child’s Intelligence Quotient (IQ) and Emotional Quotient (EQ).
